Once again, water is spouting from fountains of old ! In an atmosphere redolent of poetry and nostalgia, you will be led back into times past, when our great grandmothers did all their washing by hand. The village fountain, source of life itself, played an important rôle in daily life, being the centre for news and activity. The Water and Fountain Museum will allow you to discover much more, though. Can you remember when old roadside fountains were still in existence, to refresh the weary traveller ?

Can you imagine sandstone water filters, decorated with religious scenes, or 16th century water pipes that were made of wood ? A walk round  the museum illustrates the development of water distribution from the earliest times to the present day. The museum is also fun for children; one working model with "real" water brings the whole water cycle to life, while others show how a pump works, or how liquid waste is treated.
