Water moves in a never-ending cycle.
Even though water and its cycle are the basis of all life,
fresh water represents less than 3% of the Earth's total
water.
It is divided up between the permanent snows and polar
ice-caps on the one hand, and the surface and underground
reservoirs on the other.
The remaining 97% of the Earth's water in the oceans and
seas can only be made drinkable by using sophisticated and
costly techniques.
